Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced accountant to lead our Financial Analysis & Planning team for 12 months.
As the Team Leader – Financial Analysis & Planning, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will lead a team of finance professionals and work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure good financial management practices and delivery of Council’s statutory budget development and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Council’s annual budget, long-term financial plan, and 10-year capital works plan.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Councillors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Facilitate financial modelling, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards, and Council policies.
