Function information

As Team Leader Financial Reporting & Control, you are responsible for managing the team that ensures iHub's financial figures are accurate, complete, and timely. You are the right hand of the Finance & Control Manager and play a key role in safeguarding the quality and coherence of the financial operations.

You manage the planning and control cycle and ensure that figures are not only accurate but also consistently generated across different entities. In doing so, you oversee how financial processes interact and pay attention to the coherence and effects on the whole. In an organization with complex funding flows and increasing accountability pressure, you bring structure and overview and continuously work on improving processes and collaboration, both within finance and with the rest of the organization.

In concrete terms, this means that you:

  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, including balance sheet closing, reporting, and underlying file creation;
  • prepares financial reports at the entity level, including the balance sheet and profit and loss account, and prepares initial analyses;
  • Process-wise, it focuses on interim and annual financial statement audits and various grant accountability reports;
  • Monitors substantive consistency of figures and annual accounts across different entities;
  • Manages liquidity and contributes to financial insight and substantiation;
  • Reports according to the P&C cycle and acts as the substantive point of contact for the auditor;
  • Further develops the team and ensures strong, professional collaboration within financial reporting & control.

You work on issues such as improving grant accountability and associated controls, following up on findings from interim audits, and strengthening audit planning. In doing so, you ensure that improvement points are actually implemented, looking not only at the individual process but also at the coherence and structural improvement of the financial chain. You safeguard quality by, for example, reviewing files in detail and guiding teams towards a more structured and future-proof way of working.

Your team

You lead the Financial Reporting & Control team, consisting of 8 colleagues: 4 Financial Control employees and 4 Financial Reporting employees.

Together, you are responsible for financial reporting and the substantiation of figures within iHub. The team is professional, committed, and works closely together. There is an open atmosphere in which colleagues help and encourage each other to continuously improve. You report to the Finance & Control Manager and collaborate closely with other teams within finance and the wider organization.
