The Team Leader is responsible for guiding, directing, and managing a group of employees within FLSmidth Exciters. The role of a team leader encompasses a mix of leadership, coordination, and support functions, focusing on team performance and goal attainment.

Job Responsibilities –

  • A team leader is responsible for setting clear goals and objectives for the team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals.
  • They motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • They assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and strengths.
  • Team leaders facilitate effective communication within the team and between the team and higher management.
  • They provide training, coaching, and development opportunities to help team members grow professionally.
  • Team leaders give constructive feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and help team members improve their performance.
  • They address and resolve conflicts within the team, ensuring a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Team leaders make decisions related to team operations, often in consultation with team members and higher management.

What you bring –

  • Experience in leadership of up to 7 people
  • Intermediate Computer Skills – Outlook, Word, Excel. You must be confident in the use of a computer and need little guidance
  • Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner/Machinist or Mechanical Fitter
  • Ability to update Work Instructions
  • Use of a MRP system a bonus – Not essential.
  • Experience and understanding of Mechanical Assembly Line Processes
  • Proven ability to lead a team in same, or similar industry
