Description
The Team Leader in the Lidding area will supervise crews up to 18 employees and ensure adequate training is provided for all the line staff.  This position is responsible for the quality and accuracy of the work performed by the crew.  The Team Leader is also accountable for inventories of all components associated with the gift being produced, accurate and timely record keeping, including production paperwork, reject paperwork, employee documents and timekeeping.  The Team Leader will also be required to perform as a back up to the Shift Supervisor. * Must be able to promote a team effort to achieve common goals as well as give and receive * constructive feedback. * Must be a reliable self-starter, willing and able to learn new responsibilities and work independently. * Must understand established safety/quality standards and the ability to communicate them. * Good problem solving and decision-making skills are essential. * Production experience, PC skills and Systems Application in Data Processing (SAP) – not required of my team leaders are a plus. * Must be able to withstand a production environment with exposure to food allergens, dust and varying temperatures. * Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results. * Physical requirements including standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting to 50 lbs. * Must be flexible with regards to schedule and job assignments. Hours and days may change based on production needs. * Good verbal and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with different authority levels and personnel. Qualifications * Good verbal and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with different levels of authority and personnel within the company.  Must be able to promote a team effort to achieve common goals, as well as give and receive constructive feedback.  Successful candidate should also be a proponent of continuous improvement and lead the efforts to change. *  Lean Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.  Lean Manufacturing training will be provided. * Must have an understanding of established safety/quality standards and the ability to communicate them. *  Good intermediate math skills are required. * Must have good basic computer skills. * Bi-Lingual skills and WMS experience are a plus but not required. * Good problem solving and decision-making skills are essential. * Prior production experience is preferred. * Must be a reliable self-starter, willing and able to learn new responsibilities. * Physical requirements include standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching, twisting and lifting up to 30 pounds, and an ability to withstand a production environment with exposure to dust, occasional fumes and varying temperatures. * Must be able to work any shift required, as well as some overtime and weekends. * This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing. Jan-Aug. Day Shift hours: 6:30am-3:00pm   Aug.-Dec. Swing Shift hours: 3:15pm-11:45pm   INDOPS
