The Groundwater Team leads and manages water resources projects involving hydrogeological and water quality components. The position can be based in any of our Atlantic Canada offices. This posting closes at end of business on May 1, 2026 Your Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management In addition to your regular professional scope of work in the field of hydrogeology, your added responsibilities will include: * Manage the resourcing and development of a team of engineers, hydrogeologists, environmental scientists and technical staff within the Groundwater group * Collaborate with other team leaders and discipline leads to achieve effective resource planning and operational alignment * Supervise junior staff and help with career development * Chair regular team meetings & share information * Lead in the creation of Stantec’s safety culture within your team * Support the team to meet their respective utilization targets * Encourage a culture of innovation in the team * Inspire collaboration and cross-training * Attract, grow, and retain high-quality staff * Coach team members * Perform Year-End Performance Reviews for team members * Participate in and/or manage hydrogeological project work * Project Delivery & Technical Excellence  * Oversee projects with varying degree of complexity, performing technical design tasks and providing guidance to team members.  * Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.  * Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on own and peer projects. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
