JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering Team Leader will oversee a dynamic team within our organization, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills to guide the team in delivering high-quality results while maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in food service management, with experience in various culinary environments, including quick service, casual dining, and fine dining.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have a robust background in the food industry with experience in various roles such as:

• Culinary experience in fast food or fine dining establishments.
• Restaurant management experience with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Proven leadership skills with supervisory experience in kitchen or hospitality settings.
• Familiarity with training & development practices within the food service sector.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management related to restaurant operations.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.

DUTIES

• Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Implement effective inventory control measures to optimize resource utilization.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
• Train and develop staff on best practices in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service.
• Supervise kitchen operations, including shift management and team management to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in staff training programs to enhance team performance.
• Manage budgets related to food production and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards throughout all operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services, banquets, and special events as needed.
