At our Riverwood site, South-West Sydney we have an exciting permanent opportunity for experienced Team Leaders/Line Leaders. The roles offer a unique chance to broaden your skill set and make a lasting impact on our organization. The positions work morning shift, afternoon shift and some weekends. About the role The Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a small production team, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to quality and safety standards, and achievement of shift targets. Supports staff performance management, training, and compliance with health, safety, and GMP requirements. Maintains accurate production records, manages raw material supply, monitors inventory, and troubleshoots production issues to minimize downtime and waste. What you'll do Daily supervision and direction of a small production team under the guidance of the Production Manager Be responsible for the daily team support and review of staff performance Coordinate on the job staff training and assessment Oversee and ensure adherence to standards in quality, safety and efficiencies across the assigned production lines to meet shift requirements Ensure team compliance to health and safety standards and reporting of all near misses and hazards Maintain food safety/production records ensuring their accurate completion Ensure organization of the work area and GMP standards Oversee production lines supply of raw materials/components Conduct physical inventory checks for stock verifications Trouble shoot production issues and escalate equipment malfunctions Contribute to minimizing food wastage in the production area Qualification Background in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large volume commercial kitchen facility, operating food production equipment Understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety practices Certificate II in Food Processing (or working towards this qualification) or equivalent (Desirable) Skills Effective communication and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to give clear instructions to team and manage team performance Ability to inspire and motivate the team to realize their full potential Dedicated with strong work ethic and "can-do" attitude Able to work in fast paced production environment with changing priorities Exceptional personal presentation Why join The Kitchen Food Company?
