OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee operations within our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional senior care. This role requires effective communication, the ability to supervise staff, and a commitment to ensuring that care plans are followed diligently. As a Shift Leader, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality of care and support provided to our residents.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a care home or senior care setting is essential.
• Experience of working with challenging behaviour and complex needs would be an advantage
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions with residents, families, and staff.

• Supervise and support care staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to care plans and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families to address concerns and provide updates on resident wellbeing.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Monitor the performance of staff, providing guidance and training as necessary to enhance their skills.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
• Drive company vehicles as needed for resident outings or other operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records related to resident care and staff performance.
