Deaf Connect is looking for a proactive and organised Team Leader – Facilities & Office Management to lead our facilities operations across multiple sites and ensure our workplaces run smoothly and professionally.
We’re offering a full-time, flexible opportunity, with a preference for the role to be based at our Brisbane (South Bank) office. However, we’re open to candidates based in other Deaf Connect offices, including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaid, or Perth, for the right person. Our hybrid model supports balance, with core in-office days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
ABOUT YOU:
We’re seeking a resilient and collaborative leader who can juggle multiple responsibilities while keeping people at the centre. To succeed, you will bring:
Qualifications and/or experience in facilities management, property, business administration, or related fields.
Experience in facilities operations (e.g. leasing, maintenance, contractor engagement, or fleet management).
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience overseeing reception or office services in a professional environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on balancing competing priorities, working across property, fleet, and office management while also leading our front-of-house services. You’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact by shaping how our staff, clients, and visitors experience Deaf Connect.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
Oversee facilities management, including property leasing, maintenance, fit-outs, and contractor engagement.
Manage Deaf Connect’s vehicle fleet to ensure effective allocation, usage, servicing, and compliance.
Lead and support the Reception Team, ensuring high standards of customer service and smooth office operations across sites.
Coordinate office services such as supplies, shared spaces, and staff-facing programs (e.g. Fitness Passport, vaccination clinics).
Provide advice, reporting, and practical solutions to senior leadership on facilities, safety, and office services matters.
