CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
· Work safely, ensuring that you and your team perform all activities in compliance with IGS and customer site-specific safety requirements.
· Actively participate in field work, supporting your team in order to maintain productivity and quality. When operationally necessary, operate welding machines, blast hoses, spray equipment, or other tools directly.
· Provide clear and accurate communication and reporting of project-related information to the Project Manager and other relevant teams to support the delivery of high-quality customer service.
· Regularly review and adjust Weld Operators’ workflows to improve production efficiency and overall team performance.
· Ensure work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, the quality control plan, and IGS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Monitor and coach both Quality Control (QC) personnel and Weld Operators to improve work quality and efficiency.
· Prevent non-conformance that could impact customer confidence or project profitability.
· Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency in the use of consumables such as abrasives, wire, and supplies, drawing on lessons learned from previous projects.
· Conduct yourself professionally at all times and guide your team in aligning with IGS values (the IGS Way).
· Accurately and openly report project and team performance to encourage a learning environment where best practices and lessons learned are shared.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Experience in specialized technology-based field services, preferably within the petrochemical and power industries.
· At least five years of progressive site responsibility and on-site management experience.
· Minimum five years of hands-on management of craftsmen, with a proven record of effectively managing small and medium-sized projects.
· Three years of turnaround experience, particularly in chemical and petroleum industry facilities.
· Familiarity with ERP or financial systems (such as Salesforce) is an asset.
· Valid Poland Group B driving license.
· NACE CIP Level 1 and 2 certifications preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to repair technical equipment and address project challenges.
· Demonstrated hands-on management style with technical credibility; able to coordinate, organize, plan, and execute complex industrial projects.
· Proficient in operating and maintaining heavy equipment (compressors, dryers, welding packs, ventilation, sand vacuum systems).
· Proven ability to oversee and document project workflows, maintain progress tracking, and manage team assignments and materials.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for supervising teams, collaborating with clients, and reporting project information.
· Adaptive situational leadership, able to switch between directive and supportive approaches as required.
· Comfortable leading or supporting within a team-based environment; receptive to new ideas and collaborative in achieving project goals.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, project management software, and familiarity with ERP or financial systems (such as Salesforce); understanding of cost-control principles and efficient budget management.
· High degree of self-sufficiency, initiative, and accountability in field-based industrial work.
· Able to work effectively in demanding industrial environments and maintain safety and quality standards.
· Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional European language skills are an asset

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Responsible for complying with all IGS health, safety, environmental, and quality programs and policies. The Team Leader directly supervises IGS field services personnel and supports the development of skills and abilities of assigned team members. The role provides feedback to IGS management regarding safety, quality, project performance, and technical training requirements. Team Leaders contribute to IGS strategic growth objectives by executing high‑quality projects that enhance the scalability and effectiveness of IGS services. Work is performed under the direction of the designated Project Manager for each project. The Team Leader communicates with the Project Manager on all project matters, including safety, timelines, identification of additional work, and opportunities to expand services. This role is primarily carried out within confined spaces where coating applications are performed, and it requires direct participation in field operations alongside team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
· Report near misses and correct unsafe actions or activities.
· Stop unsafe actions to prevent injuries.
· Provide safety training to peers.
· Perform safety observations.
· Complete Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
· Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) and/or permitting procedures.
· Deliver first aid and/or CPR when required.
IGS Values
Technical – General
· Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs when possible.
· Conduct routine equipment upkeep and maintenance operations.
· Perform materials inspections, ensuring correct wire is used.
· Operate heavy equipment such as power supplies, compressors, dryers, welding packs, HVAS ICU, ventilation systems, and sand vacuum equipment.
Technical – Quality Control
· Review the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) with the Project Manager and/or client prior to starting work.
· Obtain customer and/or inspector approval and sign-off on the ITP at each stage before proceeding.
· Execute final sign-off for completed work and ensure QCP/ITP completion.
· Promote effective quality control communication.
· Conduct production test plate inspection, when required.
· Perform initial surface condition inspections.
· Interpret coating and welding maps.
· Complete final thermal spray and welding inspections and supervise repair work.
Teamwork – Site Management
· Assist in site setup and coordination.
· Maintain daily project documentation.
· Lead toolbox talks, evaluations, and progress tracking.
· Monitor and report replenishment needs for materials inventory.
· Define and monitor progression of the work scope.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
· Ensure compliance with all relevant SOPs.
· Propose updates or improvements to SOPs.
