Description
We are seeking a hands-on Purchasing Team Leader to manage day-to-day purchasing and logistics activities and support a small team. This role works closely with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to ensure stock availability, cost control, and a high level of internal customer service. Responsibilities include Manage daily purchasing and ordering of stock Lead and support the purchasing team, allocating work as needed Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders Track inbound shipments and ensure accurate delivery information Support sales teams with pricing and ETA enquiries Work closely with warehouse and accounts teams to resolve issues Identify cost savings and process improvements Ensure compliance with WHS and company policies About you – Skills, experience and qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or logistics role Previous team leadership or coordination experience Strong organisational and time management skills Confident communicator with good attention to detail Comfortable using purchasing or ERP systems Proactive, reliable, and solution focused Experience in machinery or parts supply desirable but not essential What's in it for you You'll be part of a people-centric culture, where your well-being matters.
