Responsibilities

DUTIES

· To support the Registered Manager so that the physical and emotional needs of children and young people are protected, safeguarded and promoted at all times.
· Work towards all areas of the children and young people’s care, education and risk management plans.
· To provide support/advice for staff as required and manage the daily running of the team.
· To support and deputise for Deputy Manager as and when required.
· To carry out supervisions of individuals and support for key workers.
· To support programmes that will improve children’s progress and interaction.
· Support the Registered Manager to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.
· Ensure the home remains clean, tidy and safe both internally and externally at all times.
· Act as a positive role model and show children and young people how to live with integrity, optimism, hope, determination, and compassion. 
· To enhance your understanding of current legislation including the Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015, Working together to safeguard children 2023, Local Authority procedures and follow the company policies and procedures.
· Work to a set rota that includes required sleep-in shifts to ensure consistent care and support for children in a residential setting.
Building and maintaining effective relationships, co-ordinating activities, creating meaningful opportunities and working with our social care, education and health care partners, are just a few ways we want our Residential Workers to support our children.
