TE TŪRANGA /ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Team Leaders are vital frontline production leadership roles. This position is responsible for a production team within the Secondary Butchery department at our Waitane site.
The Team Leader ensures team members know and understand what’s expected from a production perspective and how their output contributes to the overall departmental production targets.
This role is on day shift so successful candidates will need to be available between 5:30am –3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Due to seasonal livestock peaks across our processing season, some weekend and daily overtime may be required.

TE MAHI/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing directions to the team, to achieve daily production targets, whilst developing a positive culture
• Review daily production performance and explore opportunities to improve processes and performance
• Understand food safety and quality requirements, and how these apply to your team
• Build an uncompromising safety culture
• Champion continuous improvement and encourage team members to find new ideas to improve work practices
