Next Generation Day Nursery (Barnehurst) Ltd is a family run, home from home setting. We pride ourselves on supporting our staff and helping them reach their full potential. Our sister nursery New Foundations Day Nursery Ltd has been operating for over 20 years and we have built a good reputation in the local area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader & SENCO to join our Management Team.
Working hours 7.30am to 6.10pm 4 days a week, 1 day off each week.
We consider the role of Team Leader integral in understanding the workings of each individual room and supporting staff in making the nursery a success, therefore the role of Team Leader is both room based and office based throughout the week. The Team Leader will have responsibility over the Room Leaders and will report directly to the Deputy and Manager, working with them on how to offer the right level of support to the staff.
The SENCO part of the role will involve assessing and supporting children that may need additional support, completing referrals and liasing with parents and other professionals to ensure the best opportunities are provided for the child. There will be allocated office time each week to complete admin tasks for the SENCO role.
We want a Team Leader to have a positive influence in the Nursery, to maintain our reputation and to influence and drive forward the staff and children to provide high quality care in all areas of the Nursery. The Senior Management Team will be around to help as a supporting role initially & help with in-house training as required.
Applicants will need to work closely with the Manager and Deputy Manager, demonstrating excellent communication skills and an ability to have shared responsibility as well as work independently and ensure the Nursery is run seamlessly between them.
Qualifications/Experience:
Candidates will already have a minimum NVQ level 3. Candidates ideally need a good grounding of leadership experience in a Nursery and will be confident to be able to demonstrate how they apply this through experiences at Interview. Candidates must have a passion in enhancing children’s early education and serve as positive role models to staff. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience as a SENCO although this is not essential as training will be given.
Interviews will be held during the week of the 11th & 18th August.
