ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Experience working in a care home, ideally in a supervisory role
  • Good knowledge of care planning and CQC regulations
  • Ability to lead a team with confidence, compassion, and professionalism

THE ROLE IS BASED AT JUBILEE HOUSE IN WHITBY WHICH IS A LIVELY HOME CARING FOR OLDER PEOPLE WITH NURSING NEEDS AND SOME LIVING WITH DEMENTIA.

We are seeking a Team Leader who is passionate, organised, and caring—someone who leads by example and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our residents every day.
As a Team Leader, you will be a key member of the care team, supporting the management of daily operations on shift, supervising care staff, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. You will also play an active role in promoting a safe, respectful, and homely atmosphere where residents’ independence and dignity are always upheld.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and support the care team to deliver excellent standards of care
  • Supervise staff on shift and provide coaching and guidance as needed
  • Support the coordination of care planning.
  • Ensure residents’ needs and preferences are met in a person-centered way
  • Promote a safe and caring environment in line with CQC standards
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
