Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Contracted: 35 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days per week as per rota
Salary: £12.85 per hour

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
  • Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years

Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks by leading, coordinating, and motivating your team to deliver high-quality shunting, cleaning, fuelling and support services in line with client expectations and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of assigned team members, ensuring maximum productivity and service quality at all times.
  • Deliver a high standard of cleaning and support services in accordance with the contract requirements, client expectations, and Sasse standards.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and meet agreed quality standards.
  • Act as a point of contact between team members and the Supervisor, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels and place material orders as directed by the Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Address basic staff issues, referring disciplinary and grievance matters to the Supervisor and Operations Manager.
  • Lead by example through professional behavior, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • Motivate and support team members to meet performance expectations and service standards.
  • Train, induct, and support new staff to ensure smooth integration into the team.
  • Conduct Personnel Development Reviews (PDRs) as required.
  • Complete required paperwork and administrative tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational problems to maintain service excellence.
  • Take responsibility for daily operational decisions concerning your team and site.
  • Undertake additional site duties in line with General Service Operative tasks (e.g., Shunter, Fueller, Cleaner).
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations, client site rules, and Sasse policies and procedures.
