Description The Manufacturing Team Leader reports to the Production Supervisor or Director of Operations and is responsible for the overall manufacturing operation of multiple production lines with a team of up to 25 employees. Summary Drives a culture ensuring a safe and healthy workplace Develops and delivers production plans to ensure optimum levels with the most efficient utilization of people, equipment, and resources Proactively drives resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent delays Informing engineering or Quality control of manufacturing problems. Counseling and disciplining employees for rule violations. Drives exceptional customer service and quality with effective scheduling and cross department communication Maximizes throughput yield while minimizing scrap and material losses Creates, prioritizes, and delivers continuous improvement to the business Reduces complexity in all processes Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read engineering drawings 5 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing and 2 years in supervisory role Demonstrated success delivering results in continuous improvement environment Excellent communication skills working across an organization including Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources Demonstrated success in selecting, developing, and coaching a team Ability to communicate verbal and written instructions effectively. Ability to work with others in a team environment Ability to utilize computers/bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, employee labor, and attendance etc. Ability to drive forklift Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods of time.
