Responsibilities

LEAD WITH PURPOSE. SUPPORT WITH HEART.

Brightening Lives Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced female Team Leader to join our expanding team in Harrogate. This is more than just a job — it’s a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact every single day.
This unique role combines hands-on support with operational leadership, offering the chance to shape and inspire a small team of Personal Assistants (PAs) delivering person-centred care for a woman with autism and a learning disability, living independently in her own home.
At Brightening Lives, we believe no one’s life should be limited by a health condition or disability. Our personalised, person-led approach enables people to thrive at home and in their communities. If you’re ready to lead with compassion, purpose, and professionalism, we’d love to hear from you.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver care that respects dignity, independence, and choice.
  • Support daily routines, personal care, community activities, and holidays.
  • Supervise, mentor, and appraise a small team of dedicated PAs.
  • Manage rotas, annual leave, absence, and team wellbeing.
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to care plans and risk assessments.
  • Attend reviews and liaise with family members and health professionals.
  • Ensure full compliance with training, policies, and CQC standards.
  • Oversee medication, infection control, and health & safety.
  • Use digital systems confidently for scheduling and reporting.
  • Share responsibility for the on-call rota to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
