The Cats Pyjamas is a cafe built around two things: brunch and coffee. We’re a fun, friendly, space, and we’re looking for a Team Leader to join our team.
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, supporting a team, and helping to create a warm, welcoming cafe experience.

THE ROLE

As Team Leader, you’ll be the go-to person on shift - ensuring standards are upheld, service is seamless, and the team stays energised and focused.
This isn’t just about unlocking the cafe and switching on the lights. It’s about leading from the front, setting the tone, and keeping everything moving - whether that’s spot-checking drinks, motivating the team, or jumping in when the cafe is slammed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead service in the absence of the Bar Manager
• Ensure all drinks are made to the standards we expect, consistently and to high quality
• Always uphold service standards and lead by example
• Maintain workflow and energy across the team during service
• Keep all team members engaged, working effectively, and following procedures
• Resolve guest queries or complaints with professionalism and care
• Support the manager with opening & closing procedures, cleaning standards, and task completion
• Be an active part of maintaining the bar’s reputation, standards, and vibe
