YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or recent employment in the family violence sector or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements.   • A comprehensive understanding of the Integrated Family Violence Service System.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision.
  • At least two years practice experience in the area of family violence.
  • Capacity to be flexible as part of a rostered triage and response team.
  • An understanding of the Child, Youth and Families Act 2007 and the Family Violence Protection Act 2008.
  • Post graduate management qualification.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Team Leader will be supervising and supporting a multi-disciplinary team in support of The Orange Door. The Team Leader will supervise staff from other agencies that sit within The Orange Door and give direction as required and support staff to make thorough and in-depth risk assessments for women and children.

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and support a team of highly skilled family violence and child wellbeing workers who collectively will provide screening, assessment, triage and response functions to all incoming referrals for women, and women with children through an Integrated Practice Framework including child wellbeing and working with perpetrators.

There is expected to be a suite of training programs offered as part of the induction program by Family Safety Victoria, including:

  • Integrated Practice Framework.
  • Information Sharing Regime.
  • Hub site induction and worker health and safety
