ABOUT US
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Charity and Housing Association. The Society
of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 40 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. We believe that every person is of worth and we are prepared to take risks to house and support the most vulnerable and socially excluded members of society.
The Homeless Drug and Alcohol Team is a project funded to meet the needs of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and who are using drugs and/or alcohol. The service has been established to fill gaps in existing service provision and to make substance use treatment more accessible for those who find it difficult to access mainstream services.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join a growing team, and to support in the development of a psychologically informed service. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within homelessness and substance use services and will understand both pharmacological and psychosocial models used in substance use treatment.
The candidate will have experience of multi-agency working and be able to present the service in a positive manner to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be passionate and innovative in their approach to service development and delivery, and will be able to work closely with the current team and Manager to develop the service.
The team will be operating 7 days per week including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
