DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and delivery of an out-of-hours’ service for people experiencing mental distress or crisis. Breathing Space offers a supportive environment for people as an alternative for A&E. Operational hours are 2pm–10pm, 5 days per week. Staff work on a rota basis to support people to devise safety plans, work on coping techniques, identify personal goals and connect people to resources in their local area. The Team Leader will ensure that the service offers a space to encourage sharing of lived experience, to develop people’s personal goals, so that people feel more resilient and better able to cope as a result of the support they have received.
