As a Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations on a designated production line and play a key role in driving safety, quality, efficiency, and team development. This hands-on leadership role requires strong decision-making, clear communication, and a commitment to modeling the Weaver Culture. What You'll Do: Safety & Sanitation - Champion a Safety-First Culture: Enforce all safety protocols and SOPs while proactively identifying hazards, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing long-term corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized production floor throughout the shift and ensure sanitation standards are met at shift end. Drive safety accountability across the team and escalate unresolved issues to EH&S leadership to support the goal of zero OSHA recordables. Quality & Food Safety - Protect the Product and the Brand: Ensure all GMPs, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures are followed, including verifying sanitation completion and startup documentation. Respond to quality incidents through Safety Chain, leading root-cause investigations and ensuring timely corrective-action closure. Conduct routine line checks, confirm documentation accuracy, and support monthly quality training to strengthen team understanding. Production & Efficiency - Drive Performance and Results: Plan proactively for staffing, materials, and equipment readiness to maximize line efficiency and meet production schedules. Monitor and interpret OEE, downtime, scrap, and performance trends to make real-time operational adjustments. Oversee accurate downtime reporting in LEDS and End-of-Shift Reports, ensuring issues, root causes, and solutions are clearly documented. Talent Development & Team Leadership - Build a High-Performing Team: Supervise and coach team members and Line Leads, providing ongoing feedback, recognition, and documented performance management. Lead effective pre-shift meetings focused on goals, safety, quality, and team alignment while encouraging cross-training and skill development. Maintain responsibility for attendance tracking, disciplinary actions, and fostering engagement aligned with the Weaver Culture. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work as One Team: Partner with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams to resolve issues and ensure consistent operational results. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, WME workstreams, and internal improvement projects. Support alignment and communication across shifts to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations. Systems & Reporting - Leverage Data to Drive Outcomes: Utilize AS400 to manage schedules, inventory, BOMs, scrap reporting, and reconciliation activities. Create clear and actionable downtime reports identifying issues, solutions, and responsible parties. Use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, LEDS, Safety Chain, and Windows OS to support daily reporting and communication. Additional Responsibilities: Serve as backup to the Department Manager during absences, supporting decision-making and shift leadership. Lead or support conflict resolution to maintain a positive, accountable work environment. Apply and coach basic problem-solving tools, monitor cell-level losses (scrap, downtime, waste), and manage skill matrix updates. Requirements Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely. High school diploma or GED required, associate or technical degree preferred. 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or CPG. Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and production KPIs. Effective communicator with solid decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead a team. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills while actively supporting and driving change.
