Figure3 is currently seeking a Team Leader, Workplace

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
  • Lead day-to-day activities requiring direct client contact
  • Resolve project challenges as needed to ensure deadlines are met at all phases
  • Coordinate activities with external partners, vendors, engineers and other consultants
  • Provide project direction to the team, manage resources, oversee the quality of deliverables
  • Build strong design solutions leveraging your SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign skillsets
  • Create schematic floor plans and develop design concepts with three dimensional renderings
  • Oversee the development of drawing packages outlining all details necessary for the build
  • Coordinate with the GC to ensure the space is built in accordance with the contract documents
  • Review progress of construction on site, reviewing shop drawings and approving finishes
  • Improve internal processes to build the overall strength of the Figure3 Team
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior designers

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • University graduate in Interior Design or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience ideally with exposure to current global trends
  • Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, & InDesign skills essential; Photoshop & Revit skills are beneficial
  • Demonstrated understanding of design for corporate projects
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
  • Successfully led design projects as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Understanding of millwork construction
  • Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to multiple stakeholders
  • Confidence in your ability to manage client and consultant expectations
  • Active membership in relevant industry associations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team skills
  • Detail oriented, strong time-management skills

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Workplace you will work collaboratively with the Workplace Team to develop design solutions to support a variety of corporate office projects. As a Team Leader you may lead aspects of projects including managing the client relationship and driving deliverables throughout the project; or be a project team member contributing to all phases of the design process.
