Description:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Zam fam at our Cronulla restaurant!
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of food service or hospitality experience.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred but not essential - we will train you!
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures is an advantage.
- A positive and collaborative attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Enthusiasm for food, customer service, and Zambrero’s mission.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Availability to work full-time on a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Prepare and serve food items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Engage with customers to provide information about our menu, the “Plate 4 Plate” initiative, and other store offerings.
- Assist in the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Monitor and restock inventory as needed, ensuring adequate supplies for daily operations.
- Accurately process transactions, handle cash and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Support new team members through training and mentorship.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
