Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to lead our Accounts Payable team. This position combines team leadership, operational excellence, and strategic involvement in financial processes within an internationally focused manufacturing environment:

  • Provide clear, empathetic, and structured leadership to the Accounts Payable team, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
  • Analyse and improve existing processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Making clear decisions and offer guidance on complex accounting matters.
  • Review, process, and record incoming invoices, ensuring accurate accounting in line with tax and commercial regulations. Resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Support general ledger processes and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Participate in accounting-related projects, contributing knowledge and insights to improve systems and workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed commercial training, with further qualifications in accounting and/or a degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Several years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally within an internationally operating group or organisation.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards and VAT, including experience with international tax matters.
  • A self-directed, analytical, and structured approach to work, combined with an inclusive and encouraging leadership style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, along with solid ERP system experience—preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
