Description

Overview:
Are you ready to lead a team that supports care-experienced young people as they shape their futures?
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to step into a Team Manager role within Harrow’s Corporate Parenting Service. You’ll lead a dedicated team supporting Children Looked After, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, and Care Leavers, driving forward an ambitious service committed to co-production, relational practice, and equity.
Following the ILACS in January 2025, there has been a commitment to develop and implement a bespoke service for Care Leavers aged 18 – 25 years old. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Manager to lead and drive this exciting new development. This will be a 12-month fixed term secondment opportunity at Team Manager level to lead one of our Looked after Children’s Teams, again this will initially be for a 12-month secondment opportunity. These are exciting times in being part of a key improvement journey for our looked after children and care leavers.
This pivotal role involves leading Social Workers and Personal Advisors. You will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive services are provided to Care Leavers and ensuring there are effective transition arrangements in place for children in care from the aged of 15.5 years old.

Responsibilities

As Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Leading and supporting Social Workers, Senior Practitioners and Personal Advisors delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support to young people.
  • Driving practice development, quality assurance, and innovation.
  • Co-producing service improvements and our Local Offer alongside young people.
  • Promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, and accountability.
