Responsibilities

A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Team Manager role is to take a high-profile leadership role in the delivery of foster care in the South West.

  • You will provide appropriate levels of line management, supervision, support and training to the team
  • You will take lead responsibility in the provision of high quality, therapeutic, child safe and culturally responsive foster care
  • You will undertake foster carer recruitment and assessment in conjunction with the Team Manager Recruitment and Panel
  • You will have an active management presence in the region with Key Assets staff, the Department of Communities, and other agencies
  • You will support in developing and managing partnerships between Key Assets and local Aboriginal Community Controlled Agencies.

The base salary for this position is $106,389.92 – $111,092.80 /annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is a part time (0.8FTE) ongoing role.

You will have substantial experience in a similar management role within the social and community services sector with evidence of successful team development and growth. You will also come with:

  • A Social Work qualification as recognized by the Australian Association of Social Workers or equivalent body
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Social Worker in a children and family setting of which two years must have been gained working in child protection and/or out of home care.
  • Tenacious, diligent and resilient qualities with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a complex, culturally sensitive environment
