Manage team of Salary employees in support activities for building operations and plantwide facilities to achieve SQDCPME objectives Manage elimination of waste through strong Policy Deployment, translating workgroup actions to Plant objective improvements Manage all business aspects for indirect support departments for the Livonia Transmission Plant: Building Maintenance, Power House, Tool Room, Waste Water Treatment Facility, Environmental Compliance regulations Manage Safety standards, measurables, policies and procedures that are maintained for entire area of responsibility in conjunction with Ford/UAW and plant standards Plan, organize and staff operational needs to support building and maintenance objectives Meet cost objectives, analyze and understand root causes and use problem solving tools to achieve overall increased effectiveness and decreased cost Manage departmental budget spending for labor/overhead, industrial materials and utilities Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures for all manufacturing areas Manage facility maintenance, upgrades, repairs, demolition and new construction as well as installation of new equipment Support and coach Workgroup effectiveness including FPS - Continuous Improvement initiatives Function in a strategic role, able to view the larger scope of Livonia within the Ford system and implement processes affecting change and advancement in the area of responsibility Prepare, manage and implement cost roadmap business plan for the team Perform administrative functions as required (vacation planning, disciplinary actions, etc.) Work cooperatively with the Local Union to resolve issues and improve work climate Lead the development of the Capital Improvement Budget activities for the area Support all other production areas within the plant in regards to engineering lessons learned Create positive work environment to enable employees to succeed in a supportive process driven organization Responsible for achieving BiF targets for Energy, waste, hydrocarbons and water Lead and coordinate installation, rehabilitation, demolition and all shutdown activities Lead, coordinate, and mentor employees MOS champion for the plant Responsible for compliance to regulatory & safety items (CEC inspections, dock locks, OH doors safety lock & door edge, pedestrian doors, crane inspections, elevator inspections, trailer inspections, fire door, backflow preventer, steam safety relief, railroad, cranes, safety painting, secondary restraints, lighting, housekeeping, etc) Manage Quality standards, measurables, policies and procedures that are maintained for entire area of responsibility in addition to the entire scope of the product through to assembly, dealer and customer. Approach quality with a strong customer mindset based on thorough company/plant knowledge. Problem solving using DMAIC process and 6 Sigma tools.
