Responsible for shaping a culture of continuous improvement, providing strategic leadership on high-impact initiatives, and ensuring sustainable implementation of FPS standards across all levels of the organization. Ensure deliverables are aligned with VIM Action Matrix, 5-year plan, JPH Package Establish the goal of maximizing equipment effectiveness to improve productivity Address department Health and Safety concerns Proactively recognize the teams' accomplishments and improve morale Facilitate Results Process through utilization of standard processes and tools Develop, coach, and support to achieve SQDCPME objectives Drive continuous improvement on systemic abnormalities to prevent reoccurrence Provide necessary resources to maintain production flow and confirm critical inputs are being performed to the acceptable standard(s) Analyze the plant's personnel and capital resources to select the best ways of meeting the production quota Monitor production runs to make sure they stay on schedule and correct any problems that may arise Promote continuous improvement in the ME organization with the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure Ensure department complies with government/industry standards Drive the creation and coordination of work plans (downtime, shutdown, manage the change), and ensure the team is executing. Evaluate the effectiveness of work plans. Plan and implement revisions and improvements to meet the new standards as the manufacturing operating systems mature Mentor, nurture, develop teams to own working together, modeling the Ford values and expected behaviors Develop and provide feedback for the Process Coach professional development Foster a Zero Tolerance environment and reaffirm team members respect each other Create a proactive performance-driven culture that listens, reacts and supports (effective communication, education, listening, trust) to capture the hearts and minds of the people Key leader in driving operational excellence through the integration of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and the Ford Production System (FPS). Monitor and confirm that manufacturing operating system standards are being applied and adhered to throughout the area. Plan and implement revisions and improvements to meet the new standards as the manufacturing operating systems mature Mentor, nurture, develop teams to own working together, modeling the Ford values and expected behaviors Develop and provide feedback for the Process Coach professional development Foster a Zero Tolerance environment and reaffirm team members respect each other Create a proactive performance-driven culture that listens, reacts and supports (effective communication, education, listening, trust) to capture the hearts and minds of the people Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or other engineering-related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years in maintenance and engineering Tenure as a supervisor 3+ years of experience in final assembly manufacturing processes 3+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management Validated ability to present in front of plant management Ability to teach Ford Production System principles Demonstrated union negotiation experience Competent in the use of data for decision making Proven team-oriented skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of resolving diverse problems Validated tenure working successfully under pressure and able to navigate crisis situations when necessary Proven ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills Master's Degree Lead Process Coach experience 6-sigma designation preferred Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability preferred Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite of tools expertise
