About the Role Make a meaningful impact that shapes faith and community. We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to provide national leadership through the strategic oversight, coordination and delivery of more than 120 mission events each year, with approximately 80% focused on children’s and youth camps and events You will lead and support a national team of 4 state-based Event Coordinators, while also carrying a significant hands-on load. The role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and strong missional alignment, ensuring all events are safe, compliant and well supported. This full-time position requires flexibility to work weekends and participate in overnight camp stays, with time in lieu provided. The role may be based anywhere in Australia, with a preference for Redfern, Sydney, and is remunerated at Hay Level 15. How you will make an impact Review and enhance existing event planning and execution processes Develop national templates, budgeting tools and event management systems Identify and embed best‑practice approaches to mission‑aligned events Provide regular reporting to the National General Manager – Resources & Support Lead planning, design and delivery of major national events Coordinate logistics including venues, catering, transport, equipment and guest management Complete risk assessments and ensure all compliance, WHS and safeguarding requirements are met Build a cohesive, motivated and high‑performing national events team Model TSA values and foster a positive, engaged team culture Ensure accurate administration, data recording and adherence to TSA policies What you will bring A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army The ability to offer pastoral support, prayer and share the Christian Gospel Demonstrated experience in event or camp management, logistics and venue liaison Ensuring all activities reflect TSA’s mission, values and commitment to active Christian faith Strong leadership experience, ideally across dispersed teams High attention to detail and strong organisational skills A current and valid Working with Children Check A current NSW Drivers licence Flexibility to work varied hours when required Proficiency in MS Office and event management software Experience planning conferences, week‑long camps and online events Confidence engaging with people of all ages, especially children and young people What we offer Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.
