SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Possess relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated industry and leadership experience (5+ years)
  • Demonstrated managerial leadership skills, ability to effectively manage and motivate staff
  • High capability in stakeholder engagement and management
  • Strong conflict resolution and ability to receive constructive feedback
  • Excellent operational understanding of Victorian public transport systems
  • Ability to promote ideas or solutions to network issues or constraints to management
  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritise tasks as an individual or for the team

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

At Yarra Trams, our mission is to deliver world-class transport services to our passengers. In this role, you will contribute to this goal by:
Managing the Events Planning team and overseeing the planning activities from concept to delivery for all Major Events (ME) and Designated Special Events (DSE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical expertise and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the planning of the network
  • Being responsible for the safe, efficient, accurate and cost-effective planning of Major Events and DSEs in accordance with Yarra Trams systems, processes, obligations, and constraints
  • Being the key interface for Yarra Trams Operations for anything relating to events planning and delivery for both internal stakeholders as well as the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and event organisers
  • Supporting the Head of Network Events and Disruptions in maintaining the Special Events budget
  • Ensure all sub-plans comply with environmental operating constraints set out by the Rail Safety National Law overseen by ONRSR as well as the Yarra Trams Enterprise Agreemen
  • Undertaking and coordinating ad’hoc tasks such as reporting to meet the needs of Yarra Trams and as required by the Department of Transport and Planning.
