Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our vibrant café team. In this role, you will support smooth daily kitchen operations by preparing fresh, high-quality food and baked goods while contributing to a welcoming, guest-focused café experience. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation Prepare breakfast and lunch items including sandwiches, salads, and baked goods according to café recipes and presentation standards. Ensure consistency, quality, and freshness of all food items served. Daily Operations Assist with kitchen opening and closing procedures. Maintain fully stocked and organized prep stations. Ensure ingredients, tools, and equipment are ready for service. Cleanliness & Food Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Team Collaboration Work closely with baristas and fellow kitchen team members to ensure efficient service and a seamless guest experience. Communicate clearly during service to support smooth workflow. Equipment & Tools Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other tools. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment preferred Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and safe food handling practices Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting High attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for hospitality Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional events Requirements Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or similar food service environment preferred Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and safe food handling practices Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask under pressure Highly organized with attention to detail in preparation and presentation Positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for hospitality Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional events Dependable, punctual, and committed to company standards for time and attendance
