Description
The Team Member Relations Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies that foster a positive work environment, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies and procedures, and resolve workplace issues effectively. This role serves as a trusted advisor to management and Team Members, promoting fairness, consistency, and engagement across the organization.   * Oversees all team member relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling. * Develops and maintains team member relations policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and applicable local, federal, and Tribal legal requirements. * Manages investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring thorough documentation and timely resolution. * Advises managers on performance management, corrective actions, and compliance with employment laws and company policies and procedures. * Provides counseling and guidance to team members on TM relations issues. * Ensures that all applicable local, federal, and Tribal laws are followed and consistently applied throughout the property. * Responsible for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of TM relations policies, procedures, records, metrics, and reports. * Conducts regular audits of TM relations practices to ensure compliance with local, federal, and Tribal laws. * Responsible for the performance of TM relations specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for their professional growth. * Collaborates with Learning & Development to provide formal and informal training for management/supervisory staff on applicable laws, policies, procedures, discipline, documentation, and applicable local, federal, and Tribal laws. * Partners with HR leadership to design and implement programs that enhance TM engagement and retention. * Keeps informed of all new TM relations developments and makes recommendations designed to maximize department and company success. * Monitors trends in TM relations and recommends proactive solutions to mitigate risks. * Practices positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members and guests at all times. * Assists Company legal counsel in preparation of legal defense. * Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training. * Performs other tasks as assigned. Qualifications * Must be 21 years or older. * Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience required. * 5 years of Employee Relations experience with 3 years in a supervisory capacity required. * Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. * Prior Tribal casino gaming experience preferred. * Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations and manage complex employee issues required. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee issues within the framework of labor laws and union contracts preferred. * Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong supervisory and leadership skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Advanced written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to tailor tone and style for different audiences and platforms. * Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organization. * High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information and perceptiveness to sensitive matters. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of energy and output. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and HRIS portals. * Familiarity with and/or experience working in ADP preferred.
