Description The Warehouse Team Lead oversees daily operations for a specific shift or department—such as receiving, picking, packing, or shipping—to ensure all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. Serving as the link between management and associates, this role assigns work, monitors progress, and resolves issues in real time. The Team Lead trains and coaches employees, enforces safety standards, and collaborates with other departments to maintain efficient inventory flow and meet productivity and quality targets. This position models company values, fosters a positive team culture, and drives consistent performance in a fast-paced warehouse environment. • Operational Coordination: Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and adjust resources to meet daily shipping, receiving, or production targets. • Team Leadership: Train new hires, coach associates on best practices, and provide feedback to maintain high performance and engagement. • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety policies, conduct equipment checks, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. • Quality Control: Verify order accuracy, address errors or damages promptly, and maintain clean, organized work areas. • Communication: Serve as the point of contact between associates and supervisors, relaying updates on priorities, issues, and progress. • Reporting: Track productivity metrics, report variances, and recommend improvements to supervisors or managers. Requirements Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and basic shipping/receiving processes. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic Microsoft Office or similar software. Strong leadership and coaching skills to motivate and develop team members. Effective communication skills—both verbal and written. Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make quick decisions under pressure.
