Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

SACA is looking for an experienced Team Operations Officer to join our Cricket team. The Team Operations Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to all SACA high Performance teams including underage squads and support the efficient operation of the Cricket. They will play a key role in supporting the cricket department to support its teams and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. This role will also involve significant responsibilities in pathway, past player, team liaison and general operational support and alignment with the SACA’s strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the forecasting, ordering, purchase, distribution and collation of Cricket team and squad apparel and equipment for all High-Performance squads.
  • Ensure the timely processing of invoices and payments via the Basware system.
  • Manage SACAs relationships with its strong contingent of past players, including support of key events throughout the cricket calendar.
  • Support match operations and logistics for High Performance games including all scheduled matches. Including but not limited to provision of match balls, drinks, catering, parking, team sheets, change rooms, management of room attendants, set up and pack down.
  • Manage communication and coordination of SACA High Performance selected teams through team selection letters to players, staff and other relevant parties.
  • Manage the voting for the Neil Dansie medal, Andrea McCauley medal and BBL/ WBBL player of the year awards.
  • Support training programs and planning, ensuring facilities, external stakeholders and players are briefed. Ensure performance staff have their required equipment, balls and anything else relevant.
  • Take a proactive lead with support of SACAs pathway squads (including academies).
  • Manage SACAs indoor centre bookings and logistics where required and co-ordinate away venue training sessions.
  • Ensure training programs are up to date and communicated to all stakeholders via GER/AMS
  • Act as team manager for SACA squads and travel with the team as required.
  • Coordinate reimbursement of expenses for players and relevant coaching staff.
  • Coordinate Uber accounts for players and appropriate auditing.
  • Manage match ticket allocations to playing and coaching staff.
  • Coordinate SACA High Performance general administrative activities. All general administrative activities are completed and communicated/ implemented in a professional and timely manner to all relevant persons.
  • Book all travel requirements for selected HP teams including but not limited to flights, accommodation, vehicle hire, coach transfer.
  • Maintain records to ensure all players have completed relevant compliance training within CA and SACA requirements.
  • You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one.
