Provide direction to our Product Development team

Do you get energy from developing people, building a team and improving processes? Do you also have experience with product development within FMCG, Personal Care, Home Care or a similar product environment? Then this position as Team Lead Product Development at Topbrands in Oud-Beijerland might be your next step.

Within Brand, Private Label & Licensing we develop products for Personal Care and Home Care, among others. Our Product Development team consists of Product Developers and Concept Developers. Together they translate trends, customer questions and ideas into distinctive products that can be successfully marketed.

The team is enthusiastic and in full development. As a team lead, you enjoy building the team and establishing a professional working method together. You have a clear vision, dare to provide direction and ensure clear priorities and work agreements. You do not participate structurally in the daily operations, but you are well informed about what is going on within the operation. This way you can contribute substantive input, identify bottlenecks in a timely manner and provide targeted support to the team.

What are you going to do?

As Team Lead Product Development you are responsible for the daily management and further development of the team. You create structure, monitor progress and create an environment in which employees take responsibility and can develop further.You keep an overview of everything going on within the team and regularly coordinate with the Head of Development about priorities, developments and improvement opportunities.

You actively build a professional, committed and well-cooperative team.
You provide direction, set priorities and divide the work.
You monitor capacity, quality, progress and deadlines.
You conduct progress, development and assessment interviews and guide employees in their development.
You remain well connected to the daily operations and provide support on substantive issues when necessary.
You structure processes, roles and work agreements and ensure that these are clearly recorded.
You identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement and ensure that these are addressed.
You encourage ownership, knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
You actively coordinate with team leads, management, commerce and other departments.
You ensure compliance with internal agreements, quality standards and relevant legislation and regulations.
