Job Summary: As a Tear Down Technician you will disassemble race vehicles and components after each event to evaluate performance and identify potential issues. Your detailed inspections and accurate documentation will support engineering and technical teams in analyzing data and implementing improvements. This role is vital to maintaining vehicle integrity and ensuring optimal performance throughout the racing season. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Execute thorough post-race teardown procedures on Cup cars, disassembling vehicles methodically and efficiently. Clean and wash all disassembled parts, removing debris from chassis, clips, underwing, and wheel tubs. Wipe down chassis and clips using SD-20 and brake cleaner to ensure cleanliness and preparation for inspection. Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, damage, or performance issues, documenting findings accurately to support engineering analysis. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment at all times. Communicate observations and collaborate with engineering and technical teams to recommend necessary repairs or adjustments. Manage tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and accountability. Assist with shop upkeep, including cleaning and general maintenance tasks. Support team operations by running errands, picking up parts, and assisting with chassis dyno testing or engine pickup as needed. Work efficiently without sacrificing attention to detail or quality. Maintain detailed records of disassembled parts, condition reports, and maintenance history. Follow all safety protocols during teardown and inspection activities. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance teardown accuracy and workflow. Perform all other duties as assigned to support overall team success Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive attitude towards tasks and challenges Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED; prefer automotive certification or affiliated Associate’s degree Must be able to work in a group environment Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
