JOB OVERVIEW

This non supervisory position reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for setting up and maintaining plastic cap lining machines and dies.

EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • 2 years experience in set-up of high speed production machinery and tooling
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: From $28.83 per hour
    Expected hours: 40.00 per week

Responsibilities
  • Receives and complies with written and verbal instructions.
  • Setup production machinery, tooling and related equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Startup and operation of machinery to achieve and maintain established production standards including:

    • optimum processing speeds.


      • adherence to product quality specifications.

      • Basic repairs, maintenance and service of tooling, machinery and equipment including part changes and troubleshooting.
      • Co-ordinates with supervision/shift foreman maintenance requirements.
      • Informs operators on proper operating and safety procedures relating to equipment.
      • Ensures steady supply of plastic caps and lining material during production.
      • Performs operator and material handler functions as required.
      • Completes skid tickets as required.
      • Maintains material records on computer as required.
      • Communicates changes/problems as appropriate to shift supervisor.
      • Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervision/management from ti me to ti me.
      • Maintains workplace in a neat orderly manner.
      • Follows all plant rules and regulations.
      • Works in a safe manner using all prescribed safety equipment and devices and eliminates and/or reports all safety hazards that may occur.
      • Ensures that all requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed by yourself and those you supervise or direct.
