The Essence of the Role We are looking for a skilled L1 Support Engineer (LAMP Stack) to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications built on the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). You will work closely with L1 support, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems. This role requires hands-on experience in system troubleshooting, monitoring, database queries, and infrastructure components. You will play a critical role in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system stability while ensuring minimal downtime and seamless service delivery. Key Responsibilities Application & System Support Provide L1 support for LAMP-based applications in production and UAT environments Troubleshoot issues related to Linux, Apache, PHP, and MySQL Analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement fixes or workarounds Handle incident management, service requests, and problem tickets Monitoring & Performance Management Monitor system health using tools like Nagios Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system issues Work on alert handling, escalation, and resolution within SLA Database & Cache Management Execute and optimize SQL queries in MySQL or similar databases Basic administration and troubleshooting of Redis Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity API & Integration Support Troubleshoot REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations Analyze API logs and resolve connectivity or data issues Work with developers for bug fixes and enhancements Infrastructure & Hardware Handling Basic understanding of load balancers, switches, and network connectivity Manage physical and virtual servers including platforms like Proxmox VE Handle server-level issues using tools like Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Coordinate with OEM for hardware-related incidents Automation & Continuous Improvement Create scripts for monitoring, log analysis, and automation Document SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and RCA reports Suggest improvements for system reliability and efficiency Who Are You? Experience – 1 to 3 years in L1 support or similar role Strong knowledge of LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) Hands-on experience with Linux commands, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios Experience in database querying and performance tuning Basic understanding of Redis caching mechanism Knowledge of API debugging and integration support Exposure to virtualization platforms (Proxmox or similar) Understanding of networking basics, load balancers, and switches Good problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment (if required) Being You at Sinch We're a worldwide group of people, committed to diversity.
