Robots & Pencils is seeking a Frontend Developer (L4) to join a dedicated delivery team focused on evolving safety-critical and customer-facing web applications used daily by field crews, supervisors, and customers. The team emphasizes reliability, offline support, security, and regulatory compliance while delivering technical modernization, roadmap initiatives, and ongoing platform improvements. You’ll work in a mature Agile environment alongside stakeholders and internal team members to deliver high-quality frontend solutions. This role is ideal for a frontend engineer with deep experience in React and TypeScript, a strong product mindset, and a commitment to building reliable, maintainable, and high-quality web applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Implement Progressive Web App (PWA) features to support offline functionality and performance optimization. Integrate frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver production-ready, user-centered interfaces. Ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver full-feature development in an Agile environment. Advocate for best practices, maintainable architecture, and continuous frontend improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of professional frontend development experience. Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA), npm/yarn, and Git workflows. Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs and frontend integration best practices. Solid understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, and accessibility. Experience working in Agile environments and delivering high-quality enterprise applications. Nice to Have Experience with frontend testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of design systems, reusable component libraries, and UI/UX best practices. Familiarity with complex, regulated enterprise environments or safety-critical applications. Exposure to performance monitoring, analytics, and frontend profiling tools.
