We’re looking for a Tech Lead with experience in infrastructure and a strong passion for reliability and operability. You will work with a world-class team of engineers on building software-driven reliability for Asana’s online storage infrastructure and solving challenges unique to our domain. We are looking for big thinkers and innovators to take on the problem space and deliver elegant solutions.
The Storage Infrastructure team builds and manages infrastructure to ensure the reliability and scalability of Asana’s online user data systems such as databases and search. You will collaborate with a team that supports Asana’s core data infrastructure, empowering all user workflows, AI features, and offline analytics. This role offers the chance to deliver critical impact and take full ownership while working closely with partner teams. As Asana scales rapidly, the team provides opportunities to design and build complex engineering systems at scale, utilizing industry best practices and innovative solutions.
This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Technical Team Lead for our Storage Infrastructure team, you’ll serve as both a hands-on technical expert and a technical leader, guiding a team of engineers in building and scaling our distributed storage systems. While this role focuses on technical leadership rather than people management, you’ll be instrumental in technical decision-making, project execution, and mentoring team members.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE WE VALUE

• Experience with complementary data systems like OpenSearch or similar technologies
• Strong background in SRE principles and practices
• Experience in service-oriented architectures and microservices
• Track record of improving system reliability and performance at scale
• Previous people management experience
