Position Summary: The Technical Representative provides technical expertise, product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting support to customers and Colours Inc. employees. This role is responsible for ensuring proper use of PPG products, maintaining strong relationships with customer shops, and supporting the implementation of standardized processes. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct product demonstrations and provide hands-on technical training. · Troubleshoot product application issues and offer professional technical support. · Assist with the implementation and training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). · Work directly with PPG customers and collaborate with PBE vendors. · Perform customer shop audits and provide follow-up recommendations. · Keep employees and store teams informed on new products, updates, and industry changes. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience with PPG products and the Automotive PBE industry preferred. Requirements Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive refinishing products, paint systems, and application techniques. Customer Service Orientation: Ability to build relationships, address customer needs, and provide outstanding support. Problem Solving: Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Communication Skills: Clear, professional verbal and written communication in customer-facing and internal settings. Time Management: Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages multiple customer requests across a region. Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to new products, technologies, and changing industry requirements. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in audits, training documentation, and product recommendations. Collaboration & Teamwork: Works well with internal departments, vendors, and customers to achieve shared goals.
