Job Summary Responsible for supporting the quality needs and requirements of Battery Materials customers in different development phases, like product promotion, product validation, product launch, etc. Being bridge between external customer and Cabot internal to cascade the requirement, execute the change, feedback with improvement. Coordinate with site teams in resolution of customer problems, participating of customer audit, service of product queries, etc. Provides technical depth by statistical evaluation of product properties for new and existing products; Align and manage with customer on final specification and test. Offer quality insight to site quality system maintain and document files as per customer request. Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities) Investigate and resolve performance and quality related complaints by 8D methodology and compile working report. Responsible for the generation (along with R&D) and evaluation of all customer specifications. Ensure plants can meet new\existing product specifications within available plant capabilities and resourcing. Output technical datasheet and manage customer spec in LIMS Supports efforts to implement and maintain both RC14001® technical specification and IATF16949 accreditation, as applicable to the site/region and the ISO 9001 standard. Promote Cabot product through providing technical service to customers and distributors. Negotiates changes to specifications as required with customers and keeps all documentation up to date and cross-referenced accurately. Coordinate with plant team to make sure there is a good and safe launch for new production facility, new equipment, and new instruments. Fulfill product/process development under customer’s PPAP frame. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors) Knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques and practices (APQP, PPAP); manufacturing process controls (FMEA, SPC); product uniformity and variation (MSA); QA/QC problem solving techniques (8D). Knowledge of laboratory practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions from available data. Interpersonal and customer service skills in order to interface with internal and external customers, discuss technical issues, find and document solutions. Fluent English communications in both oral and written. Certified internal auditor or VDA6.3/6.5 Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Engineering Fields Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality or tech service in a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience with lithium-ion batteries will be a plus. Responsibilities
