Ford Product Development are seeking a highly skilled and experienced expert in Quality to lead and improve quality processes within our EEHW (Electronics, Electrical, Hardware) organization. This role requires a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of automotive quality systems. You will be a key driver in ensuring the highest quality standards for all EEHW commodities and teams.
You’ll have…
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
10+ years of overall experience.
6 years of specialty within automotive electronics/systems design and validation.
Even better, you may have…
Master’s degree in Engineering, MBA or related degree.
Extensive experience with Ford service procedures, Ford warranty processes, and relevant tools and skills (PowerBI, Google Cloud Platform, JIRA, GSAR, RD Mapping, Quality AI, QARS, QED, MWATS, PTS, Python).
Proven leadership in electronic module/systems design, with a focus on design verification and warranty improvement.
Deep understanding of electronic module quality disciplines and processes.
Experience in cross-functional teamwork, complex data analysis, and executive-level reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Quality Process Improvement: Define, implement, and champion best practices across all EEHW teams. This includes conducting regular process reviews and ensuring alignment with Ford’s Quality Office.
  • Work closely with Functional team in Body Electronics to improve their quality metrics: Hands-on work to help teams develop and/or refine processes to tackle their own unique challenges, including help at warranty returns center and with developing test rigs.
  • Ford Quality Office Liaison: Collaborate with Ford’s Quality team to integrate new processes and reporting methods (JIRA, 8D reports, etc.) tailored to EEHW’s specific needs. Develop innovative approaches to root cause analysis for non-conforming parts and warranty claims (leveraging cloud data, hotlines, and pre-approval processes).
  • Improve quality deployment efficiency: Understand all Body electronics commodities and look for commonality and cross-team leverage to maximize efficiency of (minimize overhead required for) quality deployment.
  • Develop and Maintain Quality Dashboards: Design and maintain a PowerBI dashboard providing comprehensive quality reporting, integrating data from various sources (warranty data, GCP, R1000, CPU, spend, supplier manufacturing data) and performing root cause trend analysis.
  • Training and Mentorship: Develop and deliver training programs for EEHW quality engineers covering quality processes, warranty analysis (WPAC, WAC, 700 Tag, GTTI), and various quality tools (PowerBI, Google Cloud Platform, JIRA, GSAR, RD Mapping, Quality AI, QARS, QED, MWATS, PTS). This includes training on root cause analysis techniques for component and system issues.
  • Hands-on help for systems and component quality engineers as required; jump into triage and root cause analysis as needed for all EEHW systems
