Description

Options for Sexual Health is British Columbia’s largest sexual and reproductive health service organization, providing comprehensive, non-judgmental clinical, education and information services in a “pro-choice” context. This dynamic organization has a history of over 50 years of skilled and ethical care. Services are offered for all ages, all genders, and all orientations.
We are looking for a Tech Support team member to join us under the Innovator Skills Initiative (ISI) program. This role will provide hands-on IT support while helping us strengthen our systems and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education or training in IT, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Organized, adaptable, and collaborative.

ELIGIBILITY – INNOVATOR SKILLS INITIATIVE (ISI) PROGRAM

This role is funded through the Innovator Skills Initiative. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a new hire (not employed by Options for Sexual Health in the past 6 months).
  • Have completed training/education on or after December 1, 2022.
  • Be living in BC and eligible to work in Canada.
  • Self-identify as part of one or more underrepresented groups in BC’s tech sector (e.g., women, Indigenous, visible minorities, LGBTQ2S+, youth under 30, newcomers, or people with disabilities). (This is a program requirement, not an Options for Sexual Health requirement.)
Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support for staff (hardware, software, and systems).
  • Troubleshoot IT issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating IT systems and documentation.
  • Support setup and maintenance of user accounts and access.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve tech tools and workflows.
  • Coordinate IT related projects
