Job Overview Under general direction of the Operations Technical Training Manager, the specialist designs, and manages e-learning FAA compliance courses for all internal and external customers. The specialist coordinates with subject matter experts when designing programs. The specialist conducts classes with the Ground Vehicle Driver simulators scenarios which are designed for drivers under FAA Title 14 CFR Part 139 program. What you will be doing: Assists in the design of training programs based on department needs analysis; creates training curriculum, presentation materials, participant handouts and other documents. Using Adult Learning Theory designs e-learning courses to be available on the Learning Management System (LMS) for all internal and external customers. Supplements the Learning & Development Manager in managing course catalogs on the LMS for all employees. Conducts trend analysis by compiling and consolidating feedback from surveys related to training sessions. Analyzes results and provides recommendations and next steps for learning retention. Assists with the technical development of simulated ground vehicle driver scenarios to ensure compliance with the requirements under Title 14 CFR Part 139. Assists in analyzing new business development strategies and evaluating potential revenue on the virtual vehicle driving simulator. Researches and develops forecast data on fuel and greenhouse gas emissions that will synchronize with the DFW Airport operating plan. Monitors revisions to the DFW Airport Certification Manual, department policies & procedures, and assists with the creation of CFR 139 ground vehicle operator scenarios for other departments and DFW companies. Manages updates and maintains records to ensure compliance with FAA standards, including the Winter Weather manual, Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (SMGCS) manual, AOA Ramp Safety Booklet, Special Bulletins, and other materials used in the development of ground vehicle driver simulators. Ensures that the simulator program delivers the service for which it is designed and measures the success of the delivery. Assists in the development of programs that generate consumer revenues and is responsive to the needs and wants of the DFW Airport partners, tenants, contractors and employees. Represents the Operations Training Department on technical issues with other DFW Board departments and stakeholders. Assists in the development of scope of work and supporting documentation to procure various studies; assists with implementation of such studies. What you need: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, psychology or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in Learning Management Systems. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Special requirements: Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal. This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
