Job Title: TechnicalAccount Manager
Location: Vaughan, ON (On-Site)
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 + Bonus
The Technical Account Manager role is the primary point of contact for VaughanAir’s rep firms. The Technical Account Manager is responsible for building strong business relationships with VaughanAir’s rep firms, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing accounts to maximize the rep firm’s success on behalf of its clients.
The ideal candidate for this role should have strong communication skills, patience, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure that our rep firms have a positive experience with VaughanAir.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College/University degree in engineering or technology, or a related field.
  • PMP or any project management certificate is an asset.
  • 3+ years of technical project management, account management, or client relationship experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints (e.g., architectural, mechanical, civil drawings).
  • Previous experience working in engineering project management is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables with attention to detail.
  • Experience in using project management software and tools.
  • Experience in problem-solving and issue resolution, focused on customer satisfaction and process improvement.
  • Proficient in CRM/account management tools and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of rep firms as assigned by Account Management leadership.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with VaughanAir Rep firms through regular communication focused on understanding the needs of the rep firm and the rep firm’s clients to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the rep firms in your portfolio; you are the primary liaison between the company and its rep firms.
  • Resolve issues by addressing any concerns or issues rep firms might have promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including estimation, design, production, and outbound logistics, to ensure client needs are met.
  • Review technical drawings, understand project requirements, and work with the design team to create required drawings for the project.
  • Read customer drawings and blueprints to interpret the technical requirements for any custom fittings. Coordinate with design engineering and production to create custom parts and manufacture.
  • Communicate and manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure that all client projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Regularly review rep firm account activity and performance, identify training and support opportunities to strengthen the rep firm’s technical and selling capabilities in conjunction with the sales lane.
  • Assist with onboarding new rep firms by ensuring they are familiar with the company’s processes and procedures for estimating, drawing and design, sales orders and purchase orders, and shipping and delivery.
  • Provide training and resources to rep firms to maximize understanding and usage of the company’s offerings.
  • Regularly check in with rep firms to gauge their satisfaction and make improvements where necessary.
  • Create weekly reports on ongoing projects, progress, roadblocks, and follow-ups.
  • Manage engineering change notices (ECN) related to ongoing projects and coordinate with cross-functional departments to execute ECNs in a timely manner.
  • Use rep firm feedback to make improvements to products, services, or processes.
  • Maintain account records and record transactions according to established VaughanAir processes and procedures.
  • Respond to customer inquiries: Answer questions and provide information about products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Use problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and find appropriate solutions.
