QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical degree or diploma required; previous industry experience considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of steam process industry applications, operations, and technology.
  • 2+ years proven track record of sales growth.
  • A minimum of 2+ years proven inside/outside sales experience in the process steam or related market.
  • Excellent network of current industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with and influence technical decision makers.
  • Prospecting/opportunity skills.
  • Strong innovation in selling and servicing techniques.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and excellent oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong technical ability to evaluate potential product applications and alternatives.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Director, Canada, the Technical Account Representative leverages industry and applications experience to influence and maximize the sale of system upgrades, after-market, and OEM parts and services across Canada.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the establishment, maintenance and growth of professional business relationships with customers.
  • Prospects, qualifies, develops, follows up and closes existing and potential new customer accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Maintains a high degree of product and application knowledge and combines this with industry knowledge and awareness, competitive awareness and our customers’ business needs.
  • Promotes Solution selling to match customer’s needs.
  • Establishes relationships, and builds rapport to assist with influencing customer preferences.
  • Works with multiple departments and support staff to provide customer solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintains accurate records and updates lead status within our Air Table system.
  • Manage customer expectations relative to deliverables and timeframes.
  • Support in-bound after-market sales activity when required.
