MINIMUM 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN ACCOUNTING

Venteon is currently seeking a Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company s overall financial success.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING & REPORTING MANAGER

  • 5+ years of experience in management and or leadership roles
  • Previously held technical accounting positions
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Familiarity with forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Experience working in a large, complex multinational, automotive, industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
  • CPA qualification
  • Bachelor s degree in accounting preferred

Responsibilities

The Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager is a senior-level accounting professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company s corporate accounting and financial reporting functions, including quarterly and annual SEC filings. They ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage accounting operations and systems, and lead the corporate accounting team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead quarterly and annual SEC filing process, including financial statement and disclosure preparation and review.
  • Oversee and implement the Company s accounting policies, prepared and maintained in accordance with US GAAP
  • Conduct accounting research on specific transactions and document conclusions in an accounting memo.
  • Develop presentation materials for global U.S. GAAP accounting training sessions
  • Support external audit and review procedures.
  • Manage and develop direct reports.
